Referrals and consults with us are free."Our consultation with Asthma Waikato was a life-saver for us, in lots of different ways. Our son (age 7) is the first person in our family to have asthma, and we had it under control until all of a sudden we didn’t and he got a lot worse really quickly. He’d recover from his attacks, but his asth...

Just a reminder that there are a FINITE number of doses in your puffer inhaler. It may keep puffing even when it is empty, due to the aerosol. Some inhalers have counters but some, like Flixotide, don't. It's really important you know when it will run out otherwise you may be 'dosing' your child with nothing but aerosol. Watch this quick video Alyssia did last year as part of our Thursday Thoughts theme, to learn the easy way to clock this....

We have had a few parents lately who have experienced some scary asthma flare-ups in their kids.
