It may keep puffing even when it is empty, due to the aerosol. Some inhalers have counters but some, like Flixotide, don't. It's really important you know when it will run out otherwise you may be 'dosing' your child with nothing but aerosol. They went to the ED at the hospital, were seen and then were sent home a little while later. However, once home, things got worse and the child needed the blue reliever puffer less than every two hours. What should they do? GO BACK to the Emergency Department.
