"The team from Asthma Waikato recently visited Woodstock School and spoke with the staff. We have a student with frequent hospitalisations and this was an opportunity for the team to clarify his ongoing treatment and was a timely refresher for all staff about the triggers/causes/symptoms of asthma and the treatments available. We were shown charts and also had the opportunity to see equipment and models. We had a demonstration on the correct use of the inhaler and spacer as this was the most likely treatment that staff would be using. Afterwards, I had the opportunity to discuss the student's care plan and ask questions.

We also looked at the documentation we use at Woodstock School and the storage and labelling of student's medication. I was reassured that our system was very clear and efficient. The team were very friendly and informative. I am reassured I can be supported with any further information or questions I may have in the future."
